This presentation will focus on how Old Dominion University developed a custom attendance tracking application that is easy to use and requires no faculty intervention. We will discuss the challenges in Higher Ed for attendance tracking and how attendance tracking could help in improving DWFI rates. We will also present our findings from the pilot we did during Fall 2018 including its impact on student engagement, performance and feedback from the participants (students and faculty). We will discuss how we can use this data to nudge students to succeed.
